Connect an AI assistant to Astrid Gold

Use ChatGPT or Claude to check live gold, silver and platinum prices, browse our blog, and (for admins) see visitor stats.

You'll sign in with your Astrid Gold account when the assistant connects.

Connect

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT Connector settings and enable Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there).
  2. In the chat composer's "+" menu, turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click "Add sources", then "Connect more".
  4. Name the connector "Astrid Gold" and paste the URL above.
  5. Ask ChatGPT to use Astrid Gold.

Claude

  1. Open Claude's custom connector page — the name and URL are filled in for you.
  2. Review the details and click "Add".
  3. If the form doesn't open prefilled: open Claude's Connectors page, choose "Add custom connector", name it "Astrid Gold" and paste the URL above.
  4. Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use Astrid Gold.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → MCP.
  2. Click "Add new MCP server".
  3. Name it "Astrid Gold", set the type to HTTP and paste the URL above.
  4. Save and enable the server.
  5. Ask Cursor to use Astrid Gold.

Claude Code

  1. Run this command in a terminal:

  1. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm it's connected (sign in there if asked).
  2. Ask Claude Code to use Astrid Gold.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it "Astrid Gold" and paste the URL above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or authorization prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to use Astrid Gold.

Refresh after updates

When we ship changes, refresh the connector so your assistant sees the latest tools.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick Astrid Gold under "Enabled apps".
  2. Next to "Information", click "Refresh".
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use Astrid Gold.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select the Astrid Gold connector.
  2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Ask Claude to use Astrid Gold.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → MCP and select the Astrid Gold server.
  2. Click "Refresh" or toggle the server off and on.
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Ask Cursor to use Astrid Gold.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools when it connects.
  2. If the URL changed, run claude mcp remove astrid-gold, then run the install command above again.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use Astrid Gold.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the connection created for Astrid Gold.
  3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  5. Start a new chat and ask the assistant to use Astrid Gold.
